Roman Holiday!

Hello Everyone,

We’re taking a trip to Rome, Insha’Allah! We are leaving  in a little over a month.  We are all very excited about this trip and cannot wait!

We are talking about all the places we will visit while we are there.  The Colosseum, Leaning Tower of Pisa, maybe Pompeii, and many other attractions.

We did a study last school year on Italy as part of Expedition Earth.   The kids learned a little about Italy and now they get to visit they place they studied!  They are super excited.

Also, before we leave I thought I would have them do a more in depth study on Italy, Ancient Rome. I found these lapbook and notebook pages from Iman’s Homeschool and I thought I would have the kids work on these to understand the history of Rome.

These notebook pages are from Iman’s Homeschool.

We will also do the  History Pockets hands on projects for Ancient Rome.  It has timelines, graphs, and some art projects. I have never used this series of books, but I have read positive reviews on it.

So hopefully the kids will get this done before we leave.  If not, we will continue when we return Insha’Allah.

Salam,
