Lighted Mosque Project
ASA,
I wanted to make Ramadan and Eid more enjoyable for the kids so I made this lighted mosque project that I have displayed on the wall.
This is a simple project you can do for kids to make the holidays more memorable.
To make this you will need:
- 48″ roll of white paper
- fairy lights
- tape
- flashlight
- pencil
- exacto knife or scissors
- a mosque template (which I have below if you would like to use one of these)
The first thing you will want to do is cut out the template of the mosque. After I printed it out, I used an exacto knife just because I wanted to be a little more precise, but you can use scissors if you prefer.
Once you have it cut out you will need to hang the 48″ paper on a wall, preferably on a wall where you want tp keep this hanging.
Once you have that done, you need to hang your cut outline onto something to hold it in place so you can trace it onto the wall. I taped my outline to a stepladder. See pictures below.
Once that is done, you need to recruit some help so someone can hold the flashlight over the outline to reflect onto the wall. And then you can begin to trace the outline of the mosque onto the paper on the wall.
Once you are done tracing it is time to add the fairy lights. Begin to tape the fairy lights around the outline of the mosque you just traced.
Then just turn on the lights and you are all set. You can decorate around the mosque as you wish.
Check out my YouTube video to see a more detailed version of how I make this project.
Peace & Blessings,
