Today I have for you Surat Al-‘Asr Notebooking Pages to show you.  I have been making Surah Notebooking Pages for older kids or adults to write down what they learn about each surah.  I have different pages for you to choose from.

There is a page with Surat Al-‘Asr, one for hadith, Tafsir, Lessons Learned, word analysis page, grammar, notes page, asbaab an-nazool.  You and/or your child can use all or any page which suits you best at your level of learning.  

Surat Al-‘Asr

    Points to remember:

•  It was revealed in Mecca.
• It is one of the two shortest surahs in the Quran.
• How many verses are there in Surat Al-Asr ? 3 verses
• It is Surah Number 103.
• There are two things you should say before reciting the Quran.  The Isti’aadhah and the Bismallah.
• Surat Al-Asr is one of the first suwaar to be revealed to Prophet Muhammad(SAAS).
• Surat Al-Asr tells us four important things we must do to be successful in this life.
• Surat Al-Asr is about using out time we have in this life to do the things Allah has told us to do so that we will be successful.
• One of the things that makes this surah so special is that it is a small surah with a big message.
• This surah also proved that Musaylimah was a false prophet.  He wanted to be a prophet too so he would ask someone what was revealed to Prophet Muhammad(SAAS).
• Allah swears by time in the first ayah.  He is telling us this is very important.  We are only given a certain amount of time and cannot get any of it back.
• Time is the most important thing Allah has given us.
• In the second ayah Allah says that man is at a loss unless they take care of the time they have been given.
• The rest of the surah tells us what we must do in this life to be successful.
  • To believe in Allah
  • To do good deeds and stay away from what Allah has forbidden
    • Perform Hajj
    • Give Zakah
    • Fast
    • To Pray
  • To tell the truth
  • To be patient
• And if we do all this, we will be given Jannah.
• Discuss vocabulary words
• آلعَصرِ         ~  time
• خُسرٍ            ~   loss
•   ءَامَنُوا ~  believe
• الصَّلِحَتِ      ~  good deeds
• الحَق            ~  truth
•   الصَّبرِ        ~   patience
